There are a lot of other little cultural quirks that bug me simply because they take away from my independent nature. I am a very outgoing, outspoken, opinionated, equal opportunity, strong woman that has walked into a culture that still sees women as submissively second class. My husband married me because he didn’t want the kind of woman that the culture produced. However, since we have lived with them, he’s demanding that I be that woman. As the woman that I am, I have fervently protested. I fear that if I become that woman he lose the for me that he felt for the strong woman. More importantly, I simply do not want to be that woman.
